Public Works Director and Supervisor conduct evaluation with checklist to <br /> determine whether or not individual is qualified to move to the next <br /> appropriate step and then so inform employee. <br /> B. If employee disagrees with decision with justification, the employee should <br /> then contact the Assistant to the City Manager/Management Assistant. <br /> C. The Assistant to the City Manager/Management Assistant will examine both <br /> sides and make a recommendation t the City Manager who in turn will make <br /> a determination. <br /> D. The employee may also utilize the formal grievance procedure included in the <br /> Public Works Labor Agreement. <br /> • When placing new hires at a step within this plan, previous applicable experience <br /> will be taken into consideration so that new employees are appropriately placed. <br /> • <br />
