League of Women Voters - Hedlund Proposal <br /> I am Shirley Soll of S. A. V. L. X V. League of W. V. supports <br /> the concept of 236 Housing and favors this proposal for an elderly <br /> retirement home. We feel that this housing would be a step toward <br /> providing a full range of housing choice in St. A. Further, we feel <br /> this location which is very convenient to shopping, medical care and public <br /> transportation, and quite close to churches, would provide elderly citizens <br /> the necessary facilities and amenities to enhance their quality of li-fe. <br /> We feel that the intrinsic suitability of the land for a <br /> multiple story building is still in question because proper, <br /> scientific geological data has not been presented. If this is obtained and <br /> found to be satisfactory, the League favors this particular project. <br /> We feel that the public has been informed and kept informed, <br /> and that adequate information, except for the geological data, has been <br /> provided with consultation among pertinent agencies. Environmental and <br /> safety factors have been considered, and the development works toward providing <br /> L range of housing and choice of life styles for residence. <br />
