VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> September 19, 1967 <br /> 1. The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman <br /> Howitz at 7:55 P.M. Tuesday September 19, 1967. <br /> 2. The following members were present at roll call: <br /> Kronk, Miedtke, HM tz, Harty, Mesenbring. <br /> Absent: Englund <br /> Also Present: Harry Lekson <br /> 3. The minutes of the meetings of August 7 and August 15, 1967 were approved <br /> as submitted. <br /> 4. Ordinance Variations - none <br /> 5. Public Hearings <br /> �a. The Johnson Greenhouse hearing was continued from the last meeting. The <br /> Chairman called on Donald Kronk to give a report on his visit to the area. <br /> • Don made an inspection of all of the buildings on the Johnson property and <br /> stated that he did not see any part of the business operation that would not <br /> be a part of the wholesale florist business. After discussion with the neigh- <br /> bors, Miedtke moved and seconded by Mesenbring to table the request until <br /> such time the board can get an opinionsfrom the Village Attorney as to the <br /> legality of the Johnson business. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. Chairman Howitz gave a brief summary of the recent study made of the <br /> southern section of the Village and also showed some drawings of the proposed <br /> changes along Kenzie Terrace. The comments made by those in attendance <br /> seemed to indicate that they were in favor of the proposed chances in the study. <br /> After discussion Chairman",iowitz closed th{4 part of the meeting at which <br /> time the drawings were placed in the hallway for closer observance. <br /> 6. a. Upon motion by Mesenbring seconded by Miedtke, that the request by <br /> Howard Dumphy to rezone the SW corner of 37th and Silver Lake Road be denied. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Mesenbring, Miedtke, Kronk, Howitz <br /> Nay: Harty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Mesenbring, that the request for <br /> rezoning the lot on the S.E. corner of 34th and Stinson Boulevard be denied. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> ! Ic. Upon motion by Mesenbring, seconded by Miedtke, that the rezoning request <br /> by Gordon Hedlund be denied. <br />
