• <br /> • PLANNING BOARD <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> April 2, 1968 <br /> 1. Called to order by Chairman Howitz at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 1968. <br /> 2. The following were present at roll call : <br /> Mesenbring, Elam, Miedtke, Harty, Howitz, Englund <br /> Absent: Kronk <br /> 3/ Happy's Potato Chip Company <br /> The Proposed Replat of Happy's Potato Chip Company's property was reviewed <br /> in detail. Outlot #1 is owned by Happys' ,.but has an easement on it for the <br /> Village lift station. Outlot #2 is owned by Happy's. Bob Dunphy, owner of <br /> Happy's. indicated that he was unable to purchase the small triangle of land <br /> owned by H. Henkel on the West side of Chandler Drive. <br /> Upon motion by Meidtke, seconded by Elam to recommend to the Council that <br /> the proposed replat be approved provided that Lot #3 be changed to Outlot #3, <br /> and subject to approval by the Village Engineer. Also, since a topographical <br /> map is on file with the Village, a new topographical map is not required. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The final plans for Happys building were reviewed in detail. The deodorizer <br /> equipment will not be located in a separate building. It will be located <br /> in the factory and the building plan contains a note specifying electronic <br /> atomizing equipment to be installed by Crest-Aire Company of Minneapolis. <br /> Mr. Dunphy showed the Board members several letters from Crest-Aire giving <br /> further details about the odor absorbing system. Parking was discussed and <br /> there appears to be adequate parking for employees and for seven trucks. <br /> Future parking is specified on the plot plan. <br /> Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Harty that the plans be approved provided <br /> that the plans agree with the Proposed Replatting and also show planting <br /> details, the redwood fence, future parking and the approximate location of the <br /> LP gas tank. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 4. Vadnais Construction Company <br /> The Vadnais apartments and related property were discussed. The property <br /> was viewed as it now exists with the apartment complex in place. <br /> . It was moved by Miedtke, seconded by Mesenbring that the zoning of this <br /> property remain as is - Light Industrial. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
