1 <br /> VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br /> April 15, 1969 <br /> • 1. The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman <br /> Howitz at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 1969. <br /> 2. The following were present at roll call: Mesenbring, Kronk, Miedtke, Howitz, <br /> Harty, Englund, Sartor. <br /> 3. The minutes of the March 18, 1969 meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> 4. Public Hearings - None. <br /> 5. Ordinance Variations <br /> Steve Davis, representing Minneapolis Scientific Controls Corporation, <br /> requested that his client be allowed to convey the East 183 feet of their <br /> land lying Korth of the South 158 feet thereof and South of the Minneapolis <br /> Saulte Sainte Marie Railroad right-of-way. <br /> Harry Brooks from Standard Oil Co. requested approval to fill the area <br /> to the North of the present property line, a distance of 22 ft. to allow <br /> additional parking. Also requested was approval to change the building to <br /> a-ranch style structure with the addition of one more bay to the North <br /> to be done in 1970. <br /> Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Kronk, to allow Minneapolis Scientific <br /> Controls to divide their property without replatting and for a public <br /> hearing on rezoning from Light Industrial to Commercial the resulting <br /> Standard Oil property. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> b. No one appeared for Sroga Station sign. <br /> s. Mr. Gagne presented plans for Marshall Screw Products to be located on Lot <br /> ' 2, Block 1, Happy's Industrial Plat. <br /> After discussion and motion by Harty, seconded by Sartor to recommend to the <br /> Council that the plans be approved with minor changes as shown and that a <br /> landscape plan be checked by Miedtke before the Council meeting. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Mesenbring, Kronk, Howitz, Harty, Englund, Sartor. <br /> Nay: Miedtke. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> g, Miscellaneous <br /> a. The Hedlund property was discussed at length by the Planning Board. <br /> Mr. McCarty and Mrs. Chester Nelson voiced disapproval to any rezoning <br /> in the area. <br /> Upon motion by Harty, seconded by Miedtke, to recommend to the Council <br /> that townhouses be allowed in the R-2 area along Silver Lake Road. Penrod <br /> • Lane to remain R-1. The ground floor area for the sum of all buildings in <br /> the townhouse complex shall not exceed 25% of total land area. Area to <br /> include all R-2 along Silver Lake Road from Silver Lane South to Multiple <br /> Dwelling zoning. <br />
