VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
doPLANNING BOARD MINUTES
February 16, 1971
1. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Rratland at 7:30 P.M.
2. The following were present at roll call : Herman, Parrill, Kronk, Letourneau,
Brat land
Absent : Carlson, Ondrey
3. The following correction to the minutes of the January 19, 1971 meeting was
noted:
Page 1, item 90, should read "to notify Mr. Bratland regarding this
committee also Mr. Rratland to chair this committee".
Motion by Parrill and seconded by Herman to approve the minutes of the
January 19, 1971 meeting as corrected.
4. Public Hearings-None
5. Ordinance Variations-None
6. Zoning Variations-None
7. Old Business-None
8. Building Permits-None
9. A. The request for a gasoline pump on the Johnson Greenhouse property at
3333 Edwards St. N.E. was discussed.
Motion by Parrill and seconded by Kronk not to make a recommendation for
approval as no one appeared with formal plans showing location of the gas
pump. The Board also stated that they would not look with favor on the
request.
Motion carried.
B. Motion by Kronk and seconded by Letourneau to table action on the sign
request as no one appeared with information on the sign.
Motion carried.
C. House plans were received from Harstad-Todd Construction Company to build
a home at 2902 Silver Lake Court (corner of Silver Lane and Silver Lake
Court ). This being a corner lot requires a 30 ft. setback both front and
side yard. The request is for a 15 ft. side yard variance to be able to
place this house on this lot. Motion by Herman, seconded by Parrill to
deny the request. Although we have plans, in the absence of Harstad-Todd
to provide further information, we lack good reason to recommend this
request for a gross variance (15 ft. ) since it appears that a compatible
plan could more nearly conform to the Village ordinance.
Motion carried.
