t <br /> VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MAY 16, 1972 <br /> The meting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. and the following answered the <br /> roll call : Letourneau, Parrill, Kronk, Ondrey, Carlson, and Bratland. <br /> Members absent: Herman <br /> The minutes of the April 18, 1972 meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> Request of Standard Oil Station, 37th 6 Silver Lake Road, to convert I of 3 <br /> existing bays to an automatic car wash facility was considered. Parrill moved <br /> to recommend allowance of request subject to review of the Council in regard to <br /> \the creation of traffic problems. The motion was seconded by Ondrey. Motion <br /> c rried. <br /> Buetowand Associates requested approval to build a semi two-story structure on <br /> Lots 2 and 3, Block 1 of St. Anthony Park with the understanding that adjacent <br /> park land will be used to provide sufficient parking space to meet Village <br /> Ordinance requirements. Furthermore, their building plans, including landscap- <br /> ing, will be subject to review and fir+al approval by the Planning Hoard and <br /> Council. Motion by Kronk, seconded by Letourneau to recommend the approval of <br /> this request. Motion carried. <br /> /Faith Methodist Church requested approval to erect 3 church directional signs <br /> • at (1 ) N.E. corner of Stinson and 33rd9 (2) S.E. corner of Silver Lake Road and <br /> 33rd; and (3) N.E. corner of Silver Lake Road, Kenzie Terrace. <br /> Parrill made a motion that variance be allowed and erection of signs be <br /> recommended for approval. The exact positioning of each from the curb-line, how- <br /> ever, to be determined by the Police Oepartmert. Letourneau seconded the motion. <br /> Mo ion carried. <br /> /Midway Cleaners, new occupants of former G & K location by Snyder Rexall Drugs, <br /> requested permission to use the existing roof sign structure on which they would <br /> paint their own sign, the exact size to conform to the Village Sign Ordinance. <br /> The removal of the existing structure and erection of a new sign would severely <br /> over-tax the owner's present financial status. <br /> Ondrey made a motion that recommendation be made for the approval of this request <br /> on condition that the entire matter be reviewed one year from approval date to <br /> ascertain owner's financial ability to change the structural aspects of his sign <br /> arrangement to conform to the Village Sign Ordinance. Parrill seconded the <br /> 74at <br /> ion. Motion carried. <br /> ly Huebsch, owner of Apache Office Building (the one of stilts) requested the <br /> replatting of Lot 2 of nlock 1 into 2 lots for the purpose of building an office <br /> structure on the second lot. <br /> \Bratland made a motion to recommend replatting of property involved. Carlson <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />
