J <br /> -2- <br /> Motion by Mr. Carlson, seconded by Mrs. McGinn to recommend to the Council the <br /> acceptance of the landscaping plans as modified and built. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Ondrey to recommend to the Council the <br /> granting to Skyline Bldrs. a sign variance on the number as well as the size of <br /> the four signs already erected at Mirror Lake Manor.(13 sq, ft, variance) <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. John Hertog of Hertog Floral and Garden Center, 2600 33rd Avenue N.E. asked <br /> the Board's permission to replace four worn--out greenhouse buildings with <br /> Holland-built modular structures with an increase in square footage of land now <br /> used. <br /> Mr. Dulgar read the applicable zoning ordinances which seem to allow improvements <br /> on the property and said he would check the project out with the Village Attorney <br /> and Mr. Hertog was advised by Mr. Johnson to have the snow load capacity of <br /> the structures verified. <br /> Motion by Mr. Kronk, seconded by Mrs. McGinn to recommend to the Council <br /> approval of the request by Mr. Hertog to replace greenhouse structures #7,8,9 <br /> and 10 on the condition that the buildings meet all state building codes and <br /> Village ordinances. <br /> Motion carried, <br /> Mr. Lekson reported a request from Happy's Potato Chip Company to enclose the <br /> loading area of the garage on their plant so that they can unload potato ship- <br /> ments in freezing weather. <br /> Motion by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Letourneau to deny the request for a <br /> building permit to Happy's on the basis of insufficient information and with the <br /> request that any future submittal meet all the requirements of the State Bldg. <br /> Code and applicable ordinances and laws. <br /> Motion carried, <br /> Mr. Dulgar discussed the passing of Resolution #73-045 by the Council and <br /> directed the Planning Board to review and revise where necessary the zoning <br /> ordinance. <br /> Mr. Dulgar offered the services of his office and Mr. Fornell in collecting <br /> model ordinances and preparing the zoning ordinances from the Board's suggestions <br /> and recommendations. <br /> He agreed to provide the material for the study and recommendations on the <br /> updating of the ordinances a section at a time for their consideration and <br /> approval. <br /> Motion by Mr. Ondrey, seconded by Mr. Parrill to adjourn at 9:50 P.M. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Helen Crowe, Secy. <br /> l� <br />
