I-IN
CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
• PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
October 18, 1977
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hiebel at 7 :35 p.m.
Present for roll call: Klick, Rymarchick, Hiebel , Letourneau and
Marks.
Also present: Jim Fornell , City Manager
Motion by Mr. Rymarchick and seconded by Mr. Letourneau to approve
the minutes for the September 20, 1977 Board meeting as written.
Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Cowan and Mr. Bowerman arrived at 7: 37 p.m.
Mr. Marks will represent the Board at the next Council meeting.
'Harry Schroeder, Project Architect, presented the site plans for a
6, 000 square foot office building proposed to be built for Comstrand
Corporation, Inc. , at the southwest corner of the office park. Com-
strand will be the principle tenant of the building and will occupy
1,000 square feet of space with the remaining 5,000 square feet de-
signed to accomodate a few smaller tenants.
Because of the advantageous position of the site overlooking Gross
Golf Course, three decks will be built on the south side of the
building.
Mr. Fornell said his preliminary inspection of the plans indicated
the proposal conformed to City ordinances and codes in all respects
including set backs, curb cuts and parking. Mr. Schroeder pointed out
the fact that the 31 parking spaces provided 11 more than are required
for a building of that size. He assured Mr. Bowerman that no manu-
facturing type of activity is anticipated for the building and told
Mr. Marks restroom facilities will be "twice that required by code" .
He also answered his concerns regarding the landscaping timetable
by saying as much work will be done this fall as the weather permits
with the remainder finished next spring. The engineer said construc-
tion will begin as soon as the Council approves the building permit.
Board members reiterated their hope that the City will soon have a•
Certificate of Occupancy by which the City can control type of tenants
for such buildings.
Motion by Mr. Klick and seconded by Mr. Letourneau to recommend
• Council approval of the request for a building permit which will allow
r
