1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 2 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> November 20, 2001 <br /> 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 5 Chair Melsha called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br /> 6 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 7 Chair Melsha invited the Council and the audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 8 III. ROLL CALL. <br /> 9 Commissioners present: Chair Melsha; Vice Chair Stille; Commissioners <br /> 10 Hanson, Steeves, Tillman and Thomas. <br /> 11 Commissioners absent: Commissioner Hatch. <br /> 12 Also present: Assistant City Manager Susan Henry. <br /> 13 IV. APPROVAL OF AGENDA. <br /> 14 Motion by Chair Melsha, second by Commissioner Hanson, to approve the meeting <br /> 15 agenda. <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 4k <br /> V. PUBLIC INPUT. <br /> Hearing none, Chair Melsha moved forward with the agenda. <br /> 19 VI. MEETING MINUTES. <br /> 20 5.1 Review/Approval of Planning Commission Minutes of September 18, 2001. <br /> 21 Motion by Commissioner Thomas, second by Commissioner Hanson, to approve <br /> 22 the Planning Commission Minutes of September 18, 2001. <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 VII. COMMUNICATION WITH CITY COUNCIL. <br /> 25 6.1 Designate Planning Commission Member to the City Council regular meeting of <br /> 26 November 27, 2001. <br /> 27 Chair Melsha stated that he was available to attend the City Council regular <br /> 28 meeting of November 27, 2001. <br /> 29 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 30 7.1 Village North, 280137'Avenue Northeast, Amend the City Ordinance under <br /> 31 Light Industrial manufacturing_permitted uses to include the use of wax in the <br /> 32 production of candles and the production of home fra rg_ance products. <br /> 33 Susan Henry indicated that Ken Solie, Village North LLC and property owner of <br /> 34 the light industrial building located at 2801 37`h Avenue Northeast, was <br /> 35 requesting an ordinance amendment to the Light Industrial section of the City <br /> Ordinance to include the use of wax in the production of candles and the <br /> production of home fragrance products. <br /> 38 Henry continued by providing the Commission with some background. She <br /> 39 stated that Ken Solie had located a client, Essenco LLC, who would like to move <br />
