CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 10 Chair Melsha called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 13 Chair Melsha invited the Commission and audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 III. ROLL CALL. <br /> 16 Commissioners present: Chair Melsha; Commissioners Hanson, Stromgren, and Tillman. <br /> 17 Absent: Vice Chair Stille and Commissioners Hoska and Steeves. <br /> 18 Also present: Assistant City Manager Susan Hall. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 IV. PUBLIC INPUT. <br /> 21 Hearing no comments, Chair Melsha moved forward with the agenda. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 V. APPROVAL OF AGENDA. <br /> 24 Chair Melsha moved Item 7.1 to follow Item 8.3 on the agenda. <br /> 9 Motion by Commissioner Hanson, second by Commissioner Tillman, to approve the meeting <br /> 27 agenda with the noted change above. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 VI. MEETING MINUTES. <br /> 32 6.1 Review/Approval of the Planning Commission meeting minutes of February 18, 2003. <br /> 33 Motion by Commissioner Hanson, second by Chair Melsha, to approve the Planning <br /> 34 Commission meeting minutes of February 18, 2003 as presented. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 VIII. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION. <br /> 39 8.1 Discuss Proposed Pawnbroker Ordinance. <br /> 40 Susan Hall explained that for the past couple of Planning Commission meetings, Commissioners <br /> 41 have discussed the proposed pawnbroker and second hand goods ordinances amongst themselves <br /> 42 and with Chris Smith of Dorsey and Whitney. Mr. Smith has made revisions to the proposed <br /> 43 ordinances, per the last conversation. The latest drafts have been provided to the Planning <br /> 44 Commission for their review. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Ms. Hall advised that Captain John Ohl of the St. Anthony Village Police Department has also <br /> itreviewed the ordinances and his comments have been incorporated into the latest draft. <br />
