Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
December 21, 2004
Page 13
Planning Commission does need more information noting that the submittal is lacking critical
information that would address the adjacent properties and the potential impacts.

Chair Stromgren asked if it would be appropriate to request a motion to postpone this discussion
for further review. City Attorney Lindgren stated that the Planning Commission could do this
but should keep in mind the 60-day clock. He asked if the question is whether there is additional
information needed from Staff to recommend or deny the EAW at next meeting. Chair
Stromgren stated that they could request City Council to ask for a full EAW with no other action
at this point. City Attorney Lindgren concurred.

Motion by Commissioner Gray, Second by Commissioner Jensen, to recommend to City Council
to direct WSB to revise the St. Anthony Northwest Quadrant EAW and to include the impact to
residential sewer, sanitary, stormwater and traffic for the proposed mixed unit development
located at 4001 Stinson Boulevard.

Motion carried unanimously

Chair Stromgren stated that City Council would consider this request at their January 11, 2005
Regular meeting. He suggested that the applicants be present to answer any questions the
Council might have.

VIII. CONCEPT REVIEW

NONE

IX. PUBLIC INPUT

NONE

X. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION.
A. Proposal from Charlene Roise Hess Roise Re: Sunset Memorial Park

Ms Sykes stated that Staff met with the Sunset Memorial group and discussed their proposal.
She stated that Chair Stromgren and Commissioner Young were also in attendance to discuss the
proposal for the administrative building at Sunset Memorial Park.

Chair Stromgren provided the Commission with an overview of the discussion noting that the
Sunset Memorial group had requested the meeting because they felt they had gotten off on the
wrong foot with the signage. He explained that they reviewed a number of options that would
address what it would take to preserve the administrative building. He noted that the burial sites
are too close to allow the additional space. He stated that they also discussed a scenario to add
onto the mausoleum and bell tower noting that this would not alter the administration building
and would allow them to add to the chapel.
