Planning Commission Meeting Minutes December 21, 2004 Page 15 1 Motion by Vice Chair Hanson, second by Commissioner Gray, to recommend to City Council to 2 employ Hess Roise to determine the historical significance for the Administration Building 3 located at Sunset Memorial Park. 4 5 Motion carried unanimously 6 7 XI. ANNOUNCEMENTS 8 9 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes provided the Commission with the following update: 10 11 City Council held interviews to appoint Commissioners to the Planning and Parks Commissions. 12 She stated that Vice Chair Hanson and Commissioner Gray have been reappointed to the 13 Planning Commission. 14 15 Commissioner Tillman stated that this is her last meeting with the Planning Commission. She 16 stated that her membership on the Commission has provided her with a great learning experience 17 as to how the government body really works. She stated that over the last six years she has 18 gained a better understanding of how it all works and noted that the process really does work. 19 She stated the system works best with as much public input as possible adding that it provides 20 the Planning Commission with the information needed to give them the ability to make good 21 decisions for the City. She stated that it has been a real pleasure serving with the Commissioners 22 and working with Staff. She thanked everyone adding that she has truly enjoyed her time on the 23 Planning Commission. 24 25 Vice Chair Hanson stated that it has been pleasure working with Commissioner Tillman and 26 thanked her for her service to the City of St. Anthony. He asked for an update on the pub. 27 28 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that there is nothing new to report on the pub. She stated that the 29 project is moving forward noting that they recently applied for a liquor license. 30 31 Commissioner Gray stated that he represented the Planning Commission at the November 23, 32 2004 City Council meeting stating that the Council asked him to pass on their Thank You for a 33 job well done. He stated that the Council was very impressed on the amount of research done by 34 the Planning Commission when considering various proposals. 35 36 Commissioner Hoska thanked Commissioner Tillman for her time on the Planning Commission 37 and wished everyone a Happy Holiday. 38 39 Chair Stromgren thanked Commissioner Tillman for her service and time on the Planning 40 Commission and wished her well. 41 42 XII. ADJOURNMENT 43 44 Motion by Commissioner Tillman, second by Commissioner Young, to adjourn the meeting at 45 10:15 p.m.
