The existing ordinance includes the term funeral home as a permitted use in <br /> the General Commercial District. The existing ordinance also includes the terms mausoleums and crypts as accessory uses in the R/O District. The several questions we discussed are:l)Do we want to do we <br /> want to include the new definition of crematoriums and columbarium in this text amendment?(2)Do we want to refer to animal remains? (3)Do we want to include the concept of a"facility for cremation" <br /> in the definition of funeral home?(4)Do we want to add the concept of columbarium to the existing accessory uses in the R/O district? (5)Should we limit these changes only to the change to add funeral <br /> home and its definition?] <br /> Section 1. Chapter 16. Zoning and Land Use of the Code of the City of St Anthony is hereby amended as follows: <br />>� A. Chapter 16,Section 1605:Definitions. <br /> Amend Section 1605.01"Definitions"by adding the following definitions and inserting the same in alphabetical and then in numerical order: <br /> Cemetery. <br /> 39 Land used or dedicated to the burial of human or animal dead,including crematoriums,mausoleums for crypt or vault internments,a columbarium for cinerary internments,related office and maintenance <br /> facilities.[This term is used in the Ordinance,but not defined.] <br /> Columbarium. <br /> A structure or building substantially exposed above ground intended to be used for the internment of the cremated remains of a deceased persons or animals.[This term is neither used nor defined in the <br /> Ordinance.] <br /> PROJECT NO.20425 <br /> Page-18 <br /> November 16,2004 <br />
