MEETING MINUTES. <br /> 4 7.1 Review and Approve Planning Commission Minutes of December 21, 2004. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 The Commission had no corrections to the minutes. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Motion by Commissioner Young, second by Vice Chair Hanson, to approve the meeting minutes <br /> 9 of the Planning Commission of December 21, 2004 as presented. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VIII. COMMUNICATION WITH CITY COUNCIL <br /> 14 8.1 Designate a Planning Commission member to the January 25, 2005 City Council <br /> 15 Meeting. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Chair Stromgren stated that he would attend the City Council Meeting on January 25, 2005. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 IX. PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 NONE <br /> 01 X. CONCEPT REVIEW <br /> 24 10.1 Sunset Memorial Park—Proposed Renovations <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that since the last meeting with the Planning Commission the <br /> 27 Representatives from Sunset Memorial Park have met with Staff and a subcommittee of the <br /> 28 Planning Commission to review and discuss the revisions that are being proposed to the Sunset <br /> 29 Memorial Park project. She stated that Mr. Dan Tyson, an Attorney representing the Alderwoods <br /> 30 Group and Sunset Memorial Park is present to review the results of the Open House held last <br /> 31 Tuesday, January 11, 2005. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Mr. Tyson stated that he would be pleased to provide the Commission with an update on the <br /> 34 Open House held last Tuesday, January 11, 2005 noting that post meeting it was decided that it <br /> 35 would be best to postpone the Concept Review. He explained that the Planning Team want to <br /> 36 come back, fully prepared, with a sign proposal that would meet and address the concerns raised <br /> 37 by the Planning Commission and the Community. He further explained that they received <br /> 38 several comments from Residents, members of City Council and the Planning Commission <br /> 39 adding that the Alderwoods Planning Team is currently working to process all of the feedback <br /> 40 received at the Open House. He stated that they were also informed, last week that the City <br /> 41 Council has retained the services of an architectural specialist to review the building and they <br /> 42 would like to include the Specialists input before bringing their proposal for final plans before <br /> the Commission. He stated that they spoke with the Architectural Preservationist earlier today to <br /> 16 determine what would be needed prior to reviewing the building. He assured the Planning <br /> 45 Commission that they are very open and willing to work with the Architectural Preservationist to <br />
