COMMUNICATION WITH CITY COUNCIL <br /> 19 6.1 Designate a Planning Commission member to the April 26, 2005 City Council <br /> 20 Meeting. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Chair Stromgren stated that Commissioner Young would attend the City Council <br /> 23 Meeting on April 26, 2005. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 VII. PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> 26 7.1 3605-291h Avenue North (Industrial) Conditional Use Permit-Proposed Car Sales <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that the applicant is not present this evening. She stated that <br /> 29 they should still hold the public hearing and make a recommendation to City Council. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Chair Stromgren opened the Public Hearing at 7:10 p.m. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that the applicant, Patrick O'Connor is requesting approval of a <br /> 34 conditional use permit for 3605 — 29th Avenue Northeast. She stated that the applicant <br /> 35 is proposing an auto dealership for specialized classics and custom cars business on a <br /> 36 property that is located in the Light Industrial Zoning District. She stated that Mr. <br /> 37 O'Connor met with Staff regarding his plans to purchase the property and his proposal <br /> 38 for use. She referenced a letter from Mr. O'Connor dated March 10, 2005 that outlines <br /> 39 his plan to keep 15 to 25 vehicles on site for sale either in the showroom or parked on <br /> 40 the west side of the property. She stated that Mr. O'Connor met with the Planning <br /> 41 Commission on March 15, 2005 for a Concept Review to fully discuss his plans for the <br /> 42 property. She stated that in reviewing the Zoning Code, Section 1640 — Light Industrial, <br /> 43 section 1640.02 lists the permitted uses and one of those is an automotive service and <br /> 44 repair, provided no junk vehicles are kept on the property. She stated that based on <br /> 45 information provided by Mr. O'Connor there was indication that part of the business <br /> 46 would include reconditioning of classic and or collectible vehicles.
