ATTACHIIMNT E
Waiver Letter
Subdivision 3(f) acknowledges that applicants may waive time limits under § 15.99.
Specifically, an applicant may waive the time limit so that a City has more than 120 days to approve
or deny an application (after extending the initial 60-day period by an additional 60 days.) Cities
should never accept a verbal waiver but should always require a clear written waiver. The waiver
should be received by the City before the statutory time period runs. A model format for obtaining
a waiver follows.
Karen R Cole
Kennedy&Graven
