., v� .Cs .d 133 rte"1— f; <br /> Regarding the <br /> backard <br /> J <br /> 2813 SLk. <br /> I received a notice from the City that indicated a concern expressed by the neighbors <br /> about our backyard. The city staff indicated I should talk with my neighbors about what we <br /> are doing in an effort'to have everyone be OK with the change that is occuring. <br /> After years of mowing our yard and being unhappy with the environmental & financial <br /> impact of doing so we looked for an alternative. We have hired Prairie Restoration, Inc. to <br /> transform our backyard back to a "virgin"prairie. <br /> Our yard is at the end of the first year of a process that will take a few years to mature. <br /> The goal is to have the biggest natural garden (prairie) in the city. Prairie Restoration has also <br /> been hired to do managment & will be mowing the yard this fall. The only plants in the yard <br /> are Minnesota flowers and grasses. All noxious weeds are pulled when regonized. <br /> By next year there is to be a path winding through the yard with a bench located in a <br /> quiet spot for peaceful reflection. <br /> Please call with any questions, suggestions or concerns. <br /> Please give us time to have this yard mature. <br /> Thank you, <br /> Tony Jordan <br /> (651) 482-9608 <br />
