Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> July 19, 2005 <br /> Page 16 <br /> 1 Chair Stromgren asked if there would be a Task Force if there is a Comprehensive Plan update or <br /> 2 is that strictly consultant driven. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Ms. Moore-Sykes explained that the last update included both noting that a number of people <br /> 5 from the community were interested in participating and they were invited to task force meeting <br /> 6 for their input. She stated that the information was then provided to the consultants noting it was <br /> 7 a very successful exercise. She indicated that that they have not gotten this far in the planning <br /> 8 process yet. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Commissioner Jensen asked if they remind the residents of State law changes in the City <br /> 11 newsletters when it clearly has an impact on the community. He suggested creating a more <br /> 12 cohesive communication with adjoining cities so that everyone has a clear understanding of the <br /> 13 current laws when it comes to enforcement. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that they do put in reminders from time to time and agreed that the <br /> 16 pedestrian issues and crosswalks would be a good topic to include.. She noted that they also <br /> 17 include updates regarding dogs in parks, leash laws, and snow plowing issues and suggested that <br /> 18 the pedestrian topic would make for a good topic in the fall newsletter. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Vice Chair Hanson stated that he would like congratulated Commissioner Young for being <br /> 21 appointed to the Governor's Residence Council. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 XII.
