i <br /> Section 1655 - PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br /> 1655.01 Purpose. The purpose of this Section 1655 is to provide for planed <br /> unit developments PUDs within the City. PUD districts are <br /> intended to permit flexibility of site design, the conservation of <br /> land and open space through clustering of buildings and activities, <br /> and an incentive to developers to plan creatively. This flexibility <br /> can be achieved by allowing deviations from standards including <br /> setbacks, heights and similar regulations while still adheringto o all <br /> the standards and purposes of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. <br /> PUDs are characterized by central management, integrated <br /> planning and architecture,joint or common use of parking, open <br /> space and other facilities, and a harmonious selection of and <br /> efficient distribution of uses. <br /> 1655.02 Definitions. <br /> Subd. 1. PUD. A PUD is a zoning district and development plan, <br /> which may include single or mixed uses, and one kD or more lots or <br /> parcels. And which is intended to create a more flexible, creative <br /> and efficient approach to the use of land. Any PUD shall be subject <br /> to the procedures, standards and regulations contained in the <br /> Section 1655.
