Street tree planting regulations are as <br /> follows: <br /> (1)Trees should be spaced so there will be little or no interference with their full development. The <br /> minimum spacing shall be 20 feet for category A; 30 feet for category B; 50 feet for category C measured <br /> from center on each street tree. <br /> (2)At least nine square feet of ground shall be maintained for each street tree and no impervious material <br /> shall be placed nearer than 24 inches to the trunk of the tree. <br /> (3) No street shall be planted nearer than two and one half feet to the curb and sidewalk line and <br /> centered in parking eight feet and less in width. Plantings in parkings over eight feet in width shall be <br /> planted four feet from the edge of the sidewalk. <br /> (4) No street tree shall be planted closer than 20 feet from the radius of curb at intersections or closer <br /> than ten feet to the edge of a driveway. <br /> (5)The minimum spacing from a light standard or transmission pole shall be ten feet for category A; 20 <br /> feet for category B; and 30 feet for category C measured from center of street tree to standard or pole. <br /> (6)As new tree species are introduced, they will be added to these lists. <br /> -u to otop- <br /> Sec. 20-262. Noxious weeds prohibited; exceptions. <br /> (a) It shall be unlawful for the owner or person in possession or control of any land within the city to <br /> maintain, cause or permit a nuisance as defined in this section to exist upon such land. For purposes of <br /> this section, a nuisance is defined as noxious weeds, which shall include the following: <br /> (1) Quack grass (Agropyron repens); <br /> (2) Perennial sow thistle(Sonchus arvensis); <br /> (3) European morning glory and field bindwood (Convolvulus arvensis); <br /> (4) Horse nettle(Solanum carolinesnse); <br /> (5) Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula); <br /> (6) Perennial peppergrass(Lepidium draba); <br /> (7) Russian knapweed (Centaurea repens); <br /> (8) Buckthorn (Rhamnus, not to include Rhamnus frangula), and all other species of thistles <br /> belonging in genera of Cirsium and Carduus; <br /> (9) Butterprint(Abuilon theophrasti), annual; <br /> (10) Cocklebur(Xanthium commune), annual; <br /> http://www.ci.cedar-falls.ia.us/humanleisure/parks/parks_parkcode.htm 1/11/2006 <br />
