Based on our review of these plans,we offer the following
comments:
1. The proposed plan is consistent with the hydrologic/hydraulic calculations that
were submitted with the previous Tire's Plus plan.
2. Please provide the City with a copy of your MPCA NPDES permit application
and stormwater pollution prevention plan for construction of the proposed
improvements as it is a connected action with the previous Tire's Plus plan.
3. Identify elevation, direction, and location of the EOF for CB 1. The EOF route
should avoid directing drainage to the adjacent south property.
4. The existing pond outlet is a two-stage outlet structure and a riprap emergency
overflow swale. The current configuration allows water to leave the pond through the
riprap emergency overflow before it enters the second stage of the outlet structure.
This situation should be corrected to allow water to enter the second stage of the
outlet structure before it reaches the riprap overflow swale. Please provide as-built
information for the pond outlet structure showing that this was corrected.
Minneapolis 1 St Cloud K:101626-171AdminlDocsVYR-PLOWENG-022406.doc
Equal Opportunity Employer
