Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> March 21, 2006 <br /> Page 7 <br /> 1 Commissioner Jensen noted that there is a cross parking/cross easement as a part of this package <br /> 2 and asked if there is a similar agreement with Tires Plus. He noted that this could solve some of <br /> 3 the concerns around the additional twelve parking spaces. He asked if Tires Plus had over- <br /> 4 parked. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that she did check the Tires Plus project file to see if they had applied <br /> 7 for a parking variance and found that they did not require a parking variance. She stated that she <br /> 8 and the applicant discussed the cross parking options noting that the applicant did not intend to <br /> 9 use that option because Tire Plus is a busy business. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Motion by Commissioner Jenson, second by Commissioner Hoska, to recommend approval of <br /> 12 the Parking Variance request for VSI Construction with the condition that landscaping plans are <br /> 13 submitted with the application. Recommend that the variance be granted due to undue hardship <br /> 14 of the existing site and note that the applicant did not create these hardships with respect to the <br /> 15 storm water ponds, which was required by the Rice Creek Watershed District. Motion carried 5- <br /> 16 1 (1 Nay-Vice Chair Hanson) <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Motion carried 5-1 (1-Nay-Hanson) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 VIII. CONCEPT REVIEW <br /> 21 <br /> 22 8.1 Phase 11 of the Silver Lake Village DevelopmentāPratt/Hunter Associates <br /> 23 <br /> 24 This item was removed from the agenda. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 IX. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION <br /> 27 <br /> 28 9.1 Comprehensive Plan Task Force Update. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that Staff has received 13 applications from residents who have <br /> 31 expressed an interest in participating as members of the Comprehensive Plan Task Force <br /> 32 Committee. She stated membership would also include the Planning Commission members. <br /> 33 She stated that three consultants have submitted their proposals noting that interviews are <br /> 34 scheduled to begin on Monday, March 27, 2006. She stated that the consultants and residents <br /> 35 who have asked to be included on the Task Force will be announced by resolution at the April <br /> 36 11, 2006 City Council meeting. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 9.2 2006 Land Use Planning Workshop <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that a list of dates for the 2006 Land Use Planning Workshop was <br /> 41 included in their meeting packets. She stated that anyone who is interested in attending should <br /> 42 contact her and she would help get them registered for the workshop. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 X.
