FM,
St. Anthony &A New Brighton
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 282
June 16, 2009
Mr. Mike Morrison, City Manager
City of St. Anthony Village
3301 Silver Lake Road
St. Anthony, MN 55418
Dear Mike,
On behalf of St. Anthony-New Brighton Schools District#282, I would like to thank you for the
cooperative efforts displayed thus far regarding our current referendum projects. As part of the
construction scope, we are requesting a Conditional Use Permit to replace the existing exterior
monument signs at the Middle School, High School, and Wilshire Park Elementary School. We
believe that these new monument signs will not only serve the purpose of building identification,
but will also provide valuable service to the community through the proposed electronic message
portion of the designs. This messaging capability will allow on-demand communication of
school district and community events and information.
While providing this service is important to us, respect for our neighbors is also paramount to the
success of this design. The allowed hours of operation will ensure that these new installations do
not disturb residents late in the evening or early in the morning. We feel confident that the
design proposed complies with City Ordinances, and we welcome any comments or suggestions
that the Planning Commission or City Council may have. Thank you for your consideration
throughout this exciting process.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rod K.
