(1993 Code, § 1600.02) § 152.003 SCOPE. The use of all property in the city must comply with the zoning code. Any building, structure, or use lawfully existing on 8-2-1976 and continuing to lawfully exist to the date of adoption of this zoning code, but not in conformity with this zoning code,will be regarded as nonconforming. In this zoning code,the singular includes the plural and the plural the singular, the present tense includes the past and future tenses, the word "building" includes the word "structure," and the word "lot" includes the word "parcel." (1993 Code, § 1600.04) § 152.005 PERMITS REQUIRED. Except as provided in the zoning code, no building, structure, or premises may be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, altered, used, or occupied unless it is in compliance with the zoning code, and an appropriate building permit has been issued. (1993 Code, § 1600.05) § 152.006 USES NOT SPECIFIED. If a use is not specifically permitted, permitted by conditional use permit, or prohibited, the use will be considered prohibited.
