COMMUNICATION WITH CITY COUNCIL <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reported that a joint work session with the City Council is <br /> 9 scheduled for March 15, 2011. Details will be forthcoming. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes indicated that the Board has been provided with the <br /> 12 updated Planning Commission Roster. She requested members to provide her with any updated <br /> 13 contact information. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 16 <br /> 17 None. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 VIII. CONCEPT REVIEWS <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reported that the IHOP development is coming along <br /> 22 nicely and is expected to open in February. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 IX. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 IX.1. WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR 2011 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reviewed the following suggestions for work session <br /> 29 topics in 2011: <br /> 30 • Update on Code Enforcement activities by the Fire Chief—March 15, 2011 (tentative). <br /> 31 • Government training Services Seminars and workshop for 2011 —schedule not yet <br /> 32 available. <br /> 33 • League of Minnesota Cities Staff Attorneys to discuss land use planning and zoning <br /> 34 topics of interest, legislation—new and amended—May/June. <br /> 35 • League of Minnesota Cities Representative to discuss the recent Minnesota Supreme <br /> 36 Court ruling regarding variances. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes stated Commissioner Crone suggested the following <br /> 39 additional work session topics: <br /> 40 • Discussion with John Shardlow of Bonestroo. <br /> 41 • Breakdown of the current housing stock in the City. <br /> 42 • History of Apache Plaza and Silver Lake Village—phases of development. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Commissioners suggested the following additional work session topics: <br /> 45 • Discussion on the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
