Minnesota State Statutes require that any <br /> land use or zoning applications, such as yours,be approved or denied by the <br /> City Council within 60 days of receipt of a completed application. <br /> According the 60-Day Rule, the City has 60 calendar days to take action on your <br /> request. The 60 days for your request expire on November 25, 2011. The City's <br /> process for considering your variance request includes a public hearing at the <br /> Planning Commission meeting scheduled for October 18, 2011. The Planning <br /> Commission recommendations will then be presented to the City Council at their <br /> meeting scheduled for October 25, 2011 at 7:00pm. <br /> While the City Council is expected to make a decision on your application at the <br /> above-mentioned meeting, Minnesota Statute does allow the City to request in <br /> writing, an additional 60 days should it become apparent that the original 60 <br /> days are not sufficient to process your application. Nothing is anticipated at this <br /> time that would cause a delay,but again, you will be notified in writing if <br /> additional time to issue a final decision on your request is needed by the City. <br /> Your presence or that of a representative is required at both meetings.
