Minnesota State Statutes require that <br /> any land use or zoning applications, such as yours, be approved or denied by the <br /> City Council within 60 days of receipt of a completed application. <br /> According the 60-Day Rule, the City has 60 calendar days to take action on your <br /> request. The 60 days for your request expire on November 29, 2011. The City's <br /> process for considering your Garage Setback Permit and Variance request <br /> includes a public hearing at the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for <br /> October 18, 2011. The Planning Commission recommendations will then be <br /> presented to the City Council at their meeting scheduled for October 25, 2011 at <br /> 7:00pm. <br /> While the City Council is expected to make a decision on your application at the <br /> above-mentioned meetings, Minnesota Statute does allow the City to request in <br /> writing, an additional 60 days should it become apparent that the original 60 <br /> days are not sufficient to process your application.
