COMMUNICATION WITH CITY COUNCIL. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Chair Jensen stated that he will plan to attend the October 25, 2011, City Council meeting. <br /> 13 Commissioner Poucher also agreed to attend if necessary. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 1. 3205 —36`x' AVENUE NE—GARAGE SETBACK PERMIT <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Chair Jensen opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes presented the staff report. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Ms. Kimberlee Pavelka, 3205 —36`h Avenue NE, appeared before the Planning Commission and <br /> 24 stated that concerns were raised at the previous meeting about the 2' overhang as originally <br /> 25 proposed and they have revised their plans to include a gable roof with no overhang. She added <br /> 26 that they do not plan to add on to the existing driveway because it is already a double car <br /> 27 driveway. She indicated that the fence belongs to the neighbors and is located one foot in from <br /> 28 their property line and encloses their backyard. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Chair Jensen closed the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Chair Jensen stated that the removal of the overhang eliminates the need for another variance, as <br /> 33 was noted during P the concept review last month. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Commissioner Chaput requested that the applicant submit an updated sketch and some <br /> 36 photographs to the City Council. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Commissioner Cincoski requested that the applicant also provide the City Council with a sketch <br /> 39 showing the proposed garage addition from the perspective of the neighbor's house. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Motion by Commissioner Cincoski, second by Commissioner Crone,to recommend that the City <br /> 42 Council approve a garage setback permit and a 2' variance from the property line for <br /> 43 constructing an addition to the existing single car garage and to direct the applicant to provide <br /> 44 updated photographs and sketches to the City Council for its consideration on October 25,2011. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Motion carried 6-0. <br />
