Insurance Trust for 2015; conservative budgeting for interest earnings and investment <br />gains; greater activity associated with refunds and reimbursements of costs than <br />anticipated. <br /> Legal contracted services were greater than budget by $24,279 due to costs associated <br />with monitoring and managing a land use settlement agreement. <br /> Public Works was $62,762 less than budget due to: contracted gasoline price per gallon <br />being less than budgeted; winter conditions were mild resulting in savings on overtime <br />and seasonal rink costs; street lighting and repair and maintenance costs were less than <br />budgeted. <br /> Police protection was $97,615 less than budget due to the result of changes in benefit <br />elections; contracted gasoline cost per gallon being less than budgeted; wages and <br />pension costs were budgeted conservatively; use of jail services was lower than budgeted. <br /> Protective Inspections – other services and charges was $42,111 greater than budget due <br />to greater construction permit related revenues. <br /> <br />Capital Asset and Debt Administration <br /> <br />Capital Assets. The City of St. Anthony, Minnesota’s investment in capital assets for its <br />governmental and business-type activities as of December 31, 2015 amounts to $48,057,446 (net <br />of accumulated depreciation).
