The alarm shall be clearly audible <br />in all bedrooms over background noise levels with all interven- <br />ing doors closed. <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Interconnection is not required in buildings which are not <br />undergoing alterations, repairs, or construction of any <br />kind. <br />2.
