This has been subsequently <br />confirmed in writing in a memo we received on Friday, September <br />12th, a copy of which is attached for your review. Although this <br />matter will have to <br />expected that there will not be any ch change a ge madein thisrplan t is the county <br />This means for you and for the residents of St. Anthony that the <br />services we have been able to provide within the schools will most <br />likely be eliminated unless alternative funding can be found. A <br />small portion of the Hennepin County money was used to offset <br />Diversion costs for young people from your community. This amount <br />was $875.00. <br />I am aware that in the past you have felt that the Hennepin moreY <br />helped to off -set the city appropriation. I am, <br />contacting you as soon as possible so you will be aware of this <br />change as you consider your budget decision for 1998 for <br />the Northwest <br />Youth & Family Services. It would be ma participate fully a the <br />proposed Joint Powers Agreement county funds might encourage you to <br />and budget for your fair share. As <br />I mentioned at the council years, meeting, e would be will in to worktwith <br />if the total amount needs phased in over a couple of <br />you to make that happen so you could receive all of the services as <br />any other participating community. I know that many of your <br />residents value the services they receive from NYFS and would be <br />very unhappy if they could not continue to access them. Please <br />consider carefully how and to what degree you will be involved with <br />us in the coming year. <br />
