We could find ourselves involved in an application <br />that starts out free; but soon becomes as subscribed service that one cannot <br />afford. <br />2. Minnesota State Statute 13.871 requires that information about citizens <br />requesting crime alert information be classified as private data. According to the <br />privacy information on the NDCL,E website, NIXLE may use personal <br />information to send offers of services, product messages and notifications to the <br />user's account. NIXLE indicates that they will only share personal information <br />with providers if NIXLE deems it necessary to better their service to the <br />customer. They also indicate that they will "at all times, keep personal <br />information private and secured." In a correspondence with our rr Manager, the <br />NDME secure desk team manager assured us that the security and privacy of our <br />agency and its users is of utmost importance to NIXLE. <br />The two largest cities in Minnesota, as well as several others, are Currently using the NIXLE <br />service. I would propose that we also entertain an account and begin using the service under the <br />following two conditions: <br />Review by our city attorney to ensure that Data Practice Laws are satisfied. <br />2.
