CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 16-054 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP THREE (3) FEMALE <br />CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 2912 — 33rd AVENUE NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from William and Robin Solboe for permission to <br />keep chickens on their property located at 2912 33rd Avenue NE; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, William and Robin Solboe have submitted a written request for approval <br />from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep chickens; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, William and Robin Solboe have submitted a diagram showing the <br />dimensions and placement of the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their <br />property; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br />is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village approves the request to keep three (3) female chickens in an R-1 Zoning District <br />at 2912 — 33rd Avenue NE. <br />APPROVED in the regular session of the City Council on July 26, 2016. <br />ATTEST: <br />Nicole Miller, City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Jerome O.
