Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes <br />• September 9, 1997 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to allow DKH to finish the retention pond work <br />2 and place the material in the pond area under the new tennis courts, thereby raising the <br />3 elevation of the courts by 12", for a cost of $13,625; and add another 6" of crushed <br />4 limestone for an additional $11,100 resulting in a total change in elevation of 18" at a <br />5 cost of $24,275. <br />6 Mornson noted this would result in a savings to the City of $9,000. <br />7 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />8 Mornson reported the budget for the tennis court has changed. The original budget <br />9 was $40,000. There is $84,000 remaining in the contingency fund. Morrison <br />10 recommended the City use approximately $60,000 of the contingency fund to complete <br />11 the tennis courts. Mornson stated the City Hall/Community Center is 95% complete so <br />12 the $24,000 remaining in the contingency fund should be plenty for any unforeseen <br />13 expenditures. <br />14 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to allow City Manager to continue with the tennis <br />15 courts and utilize approximately $60,000 from the contingency fund for completion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />17 VII. OTHER BUSINESS <br />18 A. Old St. Anthony City Hall & Community Center Demolition: Change Order <br />19 #2. Additional Excavating. <br />20 Mornson reported this change order is for additional excavating by DKH Excavating, <br />21 Inc. in the amount of $18,240 required due to the tank spill. <br />22 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to approve Change Order #2 for additional <br />23 excavating by DKH Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $18,240. <br />24 VIII.
