ANTHONY <br />HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES <br />August 23, 1983 <br />Chairman Sundland called the meeting to order at 8:51 P.M. <br />Present for roll call: Sundland; Vice Chairman Letourneau, <br />Secretary/Treasurer Marks; and Commissioners <br />Ranallo and Enrooth. <br />Also present: David Childs, Executive Director; William Soth <br />Attorney; Carol Johnson, Finance Director; and <br />Judy Makowske, Planning Commission Representative. <br />Motion by Commissioner Ranallo and seconded by Vice Chairman <br />Letourneau to approve as submitted the minutes of the H.R.A. <br />meeting held June 28, 1983. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Vice Chairman <br />• Letourneau to approve payments of $1,482.40 and $1,980 to Dorsey <br />& Whitney for legal services on the Kenzie Terrace Redevelopment <br />Project during May and June, 1983. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Attorney confirmed that all the necessary condemnation mechanisms <br />were now in place so there would be no delay in acquiring land for <br />Phase 1 of the project should the purchase negotiations not be <br />completed by fall. <br />Mr. Childs announced that the project planner, Dick Krier, had <br />left Westwood Planning and Engineering and had joined the Derrick <br />Land Development Company and would soon be appearing before the <br />H.R.A. to request the planning services be transferred to his new <br />firm. The Manager indicated staff would recommend approval of <br />this request since they perceive that Mr. :Crier was the only <br />person at Westwood who would be knowledgeable about the City project. <br />Mr. Soth indicated he assumed this transfer was probably accepted <br />as part of Mr. Krier's new employment agreement. <br />Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Commissioner <br />Ranallo to adjourn the Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting <br />at 8:54 P.M. <br />• Motion carried unanimously. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Helen Crowe, Secretary <br />
