Bid opening <br />was March 5, 2009 and there are 60 days to hold the bids. <br />Ms. Kvilvang advised that delaying adoption of the resolution to approve the bonds by two <br />weeks should not be an issue. She noted there is always risk, and the market is volatile; however, <br />the rates should not be the deciding factor. It is more important to decide what will be included <br />in the project, and Ehlers & Associates will accommodate the City the best that they can. <br />9 Ayes — 2, Nays — 2 (Gray and Thuesen). Motion failed. <br />10 <br />11 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to table Resolution 09- <br />12 030; Awarding the Bid for Emerald Park, and Resolution 09 -031; Providing for the Sale of <br />13 $5,425,000 GO Bonds Series 2009 for 2009 Road Reconstruction Project, Improvements to <br />14 Emerald Park, and to Refinance the 2000A and 2000B Bonds, to the March 24, 2009 City <br />15 Council meeting. <br />16 Motion carried unanimously. <br />17 <br />18 B. Resolution 09 -031; Providing for the Sale of $5,425,000 GO Bonds Series 2009 for 2009 <br />19 Road construction project, improvements to Emerald Park and to refinance the 2000A <br />20 and 2000B Bonds. Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & Associates presenting - <br />21 <br />22 Tabled to the March 24, 2009 City Council meeting. <br />23 <br />24 C. Ordinance 09 -001; Adopting the Re- Codified City Code (final reading). <br />25 <br />26 Mr. Morrison discussed the history of Ordinance 09 -001 and indicated this is the third and final <br />27 reading of the proposed ordinance. The re- codification will go into effect on April 1, 2009. <br />28 <br />29 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to approve Third and <br />30 Final Reading and Adopt Ordinance 09 -001, an Ordinance Adopting the Re- Codified City Code. <br />31 <br />32 Motion carried unanimously. <br />33 <br />34 VI.
