City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 28, 2009 <br />Page 3 <br />2 Councilmember Gray asked if the request is for one antenna or multiple antennas. <br />3 <br />4 Planning Commissioner Cincoski replied that it was his understand the request is for one antenna <br />5 and added there will be an accompanying unit placed on the side of the building. He stated the <br />6 Planning Commission recommended the placement of approximately 12 bushes and six trees to <br />7 provide camouflage. <br />9 Mr. Clarence Ranallo clarified that there will be three 8' antennas, two on the rear of the building <br />10 and one on the front of the building. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Thuesen asked about the diameter of the antennas. <br />13 <br />14 Mr. Clarence Ranallo stated the antennas will be approximately 24" in diameter. He stated they <br />15 have visited with T- Mobile several times regarding their request and this is something that all the <br />16 residents have agreed to. <br />17 <br />18 Councilmember Gray suggested revising the proposed resolution to clarify that the CUP is for <br />19 more than one antenna. <br />20 <br />21 Mayor Faust agreed and stated the resolution should state the CUP is for three antennas. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Stille suggested revising the resolution to state "as depicted in the drawings." <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Faust agreed with Councilmember Stille and suggested revising the findings to state "as <br />26 depicted in the schematic and as presented to the City Council." <br />27 <br />28 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to adopt Resolution 09- <br />29 064, Conditional Use Permit for an Antenna for 2601 Kenzie Terrace, as amended. <br />30 <br />31 Councilmember Stille pointed out that a co- location was not discussed in this case because it <br />32 would not work with T- Mobile's system; the City typically encourages a co- location where <br />33 appropriate. <br />34 <br />35 Motion carried unanimously. <br />36 <br />37 B. Resolution 09 -065: Fence Height Variance for 2912 Silver Lake Court. <br />38 <br />39 Planning Commissioner Cincoski presented an overview of the applicant's variance request for <br />40 an eight foot back fence and stated the Planning Commission unanimously recommended <br />41 approval of the request. <br />42 <br />43 Councilmember Thuesen asked if there was any discussion at the Planning Commission <br />44 regarding changing the ordinance to allow eight foot high fences. <br />45 <br />
