City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 22, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />1 D. Resolution 09 -075 Approval of the Election Judges for the November 3 2009 Municipal <br />2 General Election. <br />3 <br />4 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve the Consent <br />5 Agenda items. <br />I Motion carried unanimously. <br />8 <br />9 IV. PUBLIC HEARING. <br />10 <br />11 None. <br />12 <br />13 V. REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. <br />14 <br />15 A. Update on Police Department John Ohl Police Chief, presenting <br />16 <br />17 Police Chief Ohl addressed Council and provided an update on the Police Department, <br />18 specifically on the following topics: <br />19 <br />20 NIXLE Computer Subscriber System: <br />21 ■ Improvements NIXLE offers from the current computer subscriber system: 1) <br />22 opportunity to sign up for notifications from adjacent communities; 2) ability for <br />23 notifications to be sent via text to cell phones; 3) geographical targeting of <br />24 notifications. <br />25 ■ Individuals can sign up for City of St. Anthony service at www.nixle.com <br />26 3105 Bell Lane Death Investigation: The County Attorney's Office will not be proceeding with <br />27 charges, as the autopsy was inconclusive. The home has been released to the Fire Department <br />28 who is working with the current owner to get the property cleaned up. Bids are being finalized <br />29 and the cleanup will take place in the next week. <br />30 TCF Robberies: Individuals have expressed concern about feeling unsafe in their neighborhood <br />31 due to robbery issues at TCF. The Police Department has worked with TCF administration and <br />32 gone over steps the bank can take to be less attractive to potential criminals. The hedging in the <br />33 front has been removed and there are several other steps that have been discussed for the exterior <br />34 and the interior of the building. TCF is being cooperative with the suggestions from the Police <br />35 Department. <br />36 Recognition of Officer Huddle: The Military Order of Purple Heart presented Officer Huddle <br />37 with an award for his action with the East Metro SWAT Team in Roseville in December of 2008. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Gray commended Police Chief Ohl on the outstanding job he does representing <br />40 the Police Department and the City. <br />41 <br />42 B. Update on Liquor Operations Mike Larson Liquor Manager presenting. <br />43 <br />44 Liquor Operations Manager Larson addressed Council and provided an update on Liquor <br />45 Operations, specifically on the following topics: <br />
