PUBLIC HEARINGS 16 17 None 18 19 V. REPORTS FROM COUNCIL AND STAFF 20 21 None 22 23 VI. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL 24 25 A. Resolution 08 -015: Approving a Cooperative Agreement with Hennepin County for the 26 Construction of Silver Lake Road 27 28 Mr. Craig Twinem, Hennepin County Transportation, presented the final construction plans and 29 the cooperative agreement for the Silver Lake Road project. He stated the bid date would be 30 March 18 or 25 with construction starting early May. He informed Council that an open house 31 would be held on March 31, 2008. 32 33 Councilmember Stille questioned whether the entire street would be closed to traffic. 34 35 Mr. Twinem replied the entire project would be closed of and marked with detour routes. He 36 stated the aggressive approach would complete the project by November 2008. 37 38 Councilmember Stille questioned the environmental issues. 39 40 Mr. Twinem replied the environmental study is a Phase I environmental assessment was 41 completed, and if required, a phase II analysis would be completed. He stated the Hennepin 42 County Construction Division would hold monthly meetings to communicate progress on the 43 Silver Lake Road project. 44 45 Councilmember Thuesen commented it is important that residents know who to contact should 46 an issue arise.
