Resolution 08 -017; Approving a Request for Comprehensive Road and Transit Funding. <br />Mayor Faust explained that MN/DOT had requested all cities pass a similar resolution that would <br />enable it to acquire the funds required to provide continued comprehensive road and transit <br />infrastructure. <br />8 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to approve Resolution <br />9 08 -16, a Resolution Approving a Request for Comprehensive Road and Transit Funding. <br />10 <br />11 Motion carried unanimously (4/0) <br />12 <br />13 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />14 <br />15 City Manager Morrison reported on the Bond Schedule for Silver Lake Road. He provided a <br />16 handout outlining the dates and steps for the issuing process. He stated the inspectors for the <br />17 project would not be WSB inspectors. <br />18 <br />19 City Manager Mornson presented the Budget Calendar for the 2009 Budget. <br />20 <br />21 City Manager Mornson reported the Hennepin County Open Book Meeting would be held on <br />22 April 14, 2008 from 5:00 — 6:30 p.m. He explained this is where residents of Hennepin County <br />23 can meet with and ask questions about their assessments. <br />24 <br />25 City Manager Morrison reported the Liquor Store's Sixtieth Year Kick -Off would occur on <br />26 February 21, 2008. <br />27 <br />28 City Manager Morrison reported the Sign Ordinance, Fire Code Ordinance, and Housing Code <br />29 Ordinance would be submitted to the Planning Commission for review and passed on to City <br />30 Council in March. <br />31 <br />32 City Manager Morrison reported the Comprehensive Water Management Plan is due in October <br />33 2008. He explained the Comprehensive Plan must include this plan also. <br />34 <br />35 City Manager Morrison reported GIS Training began February 11, 2008. He stated the system is <br />36 very user friendly and the potential for uses is unlimited. <br />37 <br />38 City Manager Morrison reported the Rice Creek Citizen Advising Committee is looking for a <br />39 volunteer to serve on the board. <br />40 <br />41 City Manager Morrison reported the Historical Society Open House would be held on April 5, <br />42 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />43 <br />44 City Manager Morrison reported the agreements with the School District have been evaluated <br />45 and found there is no agreement for snow plowing or use of the ball field. He stated the School <br />46 District would consider these. <br />
