City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />August 26, 2008 <br />Page 4 <br />1 Councilmember Roth reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />2 • Single Garbage Hauler Task Force meeting on August 18`h. He stated it was good to see <br />3 people from the public and the garbage haulers. The task force members asked a lot of <br />4 good questions. <br />5 • Northwest Youth and Family Services Board meeting. There will be a ground breaking <br />6 on a new addition to facilities. <br />8 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />9 • Single Garbage Hauler Task Force meeting on August 18`h <br />10 ■ Metropolitan Cities Revenue and Taxation Committee meeting on August 19`h <br />11 • League of Minnesota Cities Personnel Committee meeting on August 2151 <br />12 • League of Minnesota Cities Board meeting on August 2151. Each board member will be <br />13 providing information on a green initiative or environmentally friendly initiative of their <br />14 city. He spoke about St. Anthony's Salt and Sanding Program, the Adopt a Bench <br />15 Program, and the Water Reuse Project. <br />16 • Walk About and Briefing on the Water Reuse Project on August 26`h <br />17 <br />18 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />19 <br />20 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />21 are not on the regular agenda. <br />22 <br />23 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />24 <br />25 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Faust announced that the September 8, 2008 City Council meeting is scheduled for 8:00 <br />28 p.m. due to primary election. <br />29 <br />30 Mayor Faust stated Councilmember Thuesen is not present tonight due to surgery he needed to <br />31 take care of immediately. His prognosis is good, but he will be absent for a while. He requested <br />32 that individuals keep Councilmember Thuesen in their hearts, minds, and prayers. <br />33 <br />34 X.
