City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 10, 2007 <br />Page 7 <br />1 City Manager Momson reported the City Clean-Up Day is May 5, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 <br />2 p.m. <br />City Manager Morrison reported the Northeast Diagonal Project construction would begin in <br />May and continue throughout the summer. He stated information would be put on the web. He <br />commented this is a bicycle /walking path that ties St. Anthony to Minneapolis and Roseville. <br />8 City Manager Momson reported Public Works Director Hartman did a great job on the I/I <br />9 inspection. He stated Mr. Hartman has been in over 100 homes and did a great job representing <br />10 the City. <br />11 <br />12 City Manager Mornson reported the Junior Achievement second graders would attend the April <br />13 24, 2007 Council Meeting. He stated Mayor Faust met with the second graders and talked about <br />14 what it is like to be a mayor. <br />15 <br />16 Councilmember Stille stated he attended the League of Minnesota Cities meeting at the capital <br />17 on March 29, 2007. He reported he met with several senators and asked them to push the open <br />18 enrollment bill. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Thuesen reported he also met at the Capital and felt it was a worthwhile <br />21 meeting. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Horst reported he met with the Public Works Director Jay Hartman to discuss <br />24 the plaque and the monument dedicating the sculpture on May 17, 2007. He stated the design <br />25 was approved and Mr. Hartman did a great job working with the Sister Cities Association in <br />26 getting a design and the project off the ground. <br />27 <br />28 Mayor Faust reported attending the League of Minnesota Cities Legislative Conference. He <br />29 commented this session included all local Cities, Counties, and School districts meeting with <br />30 legislators. He stated this was the first time these three groups met together in total. He stressed <br />31 that when this group attends together, it has a bigger impact. Mayor Faust stated he would <br />32 continue to work with the school board. <br />33 <br />34 Mayor Faust reported Council attended a former elected officials briefing on March 31, 2007. <br />35 He stated the accomplishments of 2006 and the goals for 2007 were presented. Mayor Faust <br />36 indicated the input from these individuals is invaluable. He stated this is the third year this has <br />37 been done. <br />38 <br />39 Mayor Faust reported he met with the residents of Chandler Place on April 4, 2007 to share the <br />40 City's goals and accomplishments. <br />41 <br />42 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items not <br />45 on the regular agenda. <br />46 <br />
