City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />June 26, 2007 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Mr. Hromatka replied that youth receive work experience by operating the Penny Pinchers Thrift <br />2 Store. He stated the thrift store is open for donations and looking for volunteers. He stated the <br />3 thrift store is located in Mounds View Square at Silver Lake Road and County Highway 10, <br />4 north of the Mermaid. <br />Councilmember Thuesen asked Mr. Hromatka if he noticed growing trends that require more of <br />Northwest Youth & Family Services' resources. <br />9 Mr. Hromatka replied there is a continued and severe need with youth, especially for those with <br />10 ADHD or require the day treatment center program for children who cannot make it in a regular <br />11 school environment. He stated the pattern is that it takes more time. <br />12 <br />13 Mayor Pro Tern Horst commented the donations to the thrift store are a tax deduction. <br />14 <br />15 11I.
