Mr. Hubmer stated he put an offer out to Long Lake but received <br />no response so the City is moving forward solo. <br />Mayor Faust stated he and the City Manager had the opportunity to spend the afternoon looking <br />at the different water projects with the Executive Director of the Middle Mississippi Water <br />Management Organization (MWO). He stated there would be an interface between the Executive <br />Director and Mr. Hubmer, City Attorney Lindgren and City Manager Morison to look at MWO <br />grant potential for St. Anthony. <br />REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br />City Manager Morrison stated he had been negotiating with Hennepin County on a new road <br />maintenance agreement. <br />Mr. Momson reported Staff is working with Ramsey County to renew the compost site contract. <br />Mr. Momson reported the Comprehensive Plan Task Force would begin meeting again in <br />September. <br />Mr. Momson informed the Council a new cable operator is being trained and stated he is still <br />looking for others as the more individuals that can be trained, the more dependable it would be. <br />Councilmember Stille reported attending eight National Night Out parties. He indicated more <br />thought should be put into planning so more locations could be visited. He thanked everyone for <br />the good turnout. <br />Councilmember Thuesen stated he also enjoyed National Night Out. He stated he visited with <br />people he knew and met many others for first time. Councilmember Thuesen congratulated <br />everyone involved with Village Fest. He reported hearing many good comments. He stated some <br />people commented they would like to see more marching bands. <br />Councilmember Thuesen read a report from the Vital Aging Council on two projects they are <br />working on. He stated one project consists of gathering emergency contact numbers from <br />businesses for the police department to use in case the business experiences burglaries, fires and <br />such. He stated the second project is the painting of fire hydrant caps.
