City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />May 24, 2011 <br />Page 4 <br />Councilmember Gray: No report. <br />Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the May 2 worksession and participation in <br />the May 7 Clean-Up Day. <br />Councilmember Roth: No report. <br />8 Mayor Faust reported on the following: <br />9 • May 11 League meeting regarding the future of the League <br />10 • May 23 meeting with the Freshwater Society regarding participation in a pilot project on <br />11 water quality and community clean-ups. The project will involve volunteer organizations <br />12 to perform fall cleanup in October, including street sweeping to test how much <br />13 phosphorous is contained in the contents of the clean-up and to provide feedback on the <br />14 effects of grass clippings, etc. The MWMO is supporting this effort and wants to do the <br />15 pilot project in St. Anthony because of the City's demonstrated leadership and <br />16 willingness to work with the Watershed on water quality issues. Further information will <br />17 be provided and a DVD from the Freshwater Society will be available at City Hall for <br />18 any interested residents. <br />19 <br />20 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />23 are not on the regular agenda. <br />24 <br />25 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />26 <br />27 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />28 <br />29 City Manager Mornson reminded the City Council of the joint meeting with the School Board on <br />30 Tuesday, May 31, which will include a tour of the School District's final referendum <br />31 improvements. He reported that the St. Anthony History Book will be completed on June 7. He <br />32 announced that he and the Mayor will serve on a panel at the League conference on June 17. <br />33 <br />34 X.
