CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 16-064 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PROPOSED 2017 TAX LEVY AND GENERAL OPERATING <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony Village provide Hennepin and <br />Ramsey Counties with a proposed 2017 certified property tax levy and operating budget; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed key financial issues and budgeting goals at the June 29th and <br />August 1st work sessions and a public meeting was held on April 26, 2016 for input on the <br />budget process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the allowed Debt Levies will be reduced by $371,141; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further reviewed the proposed 2017 property tax levy and general <br />operation budget at the August 23, 2016, City Council meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the preliminary tax levy and budget is contingent upon any revisions allowed if the current <br />law is modified; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will determine a definitive property tax levy and budget at the <br />Tuesday, December 13, 2016, public hearing held at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> <br />1) The proposed 2017 Property Tax Levy is: <br /> <br /> General Operating Levy $3,573,493 <br /> Capital Improvement Project Levy $ 233,200 <br /> Road Improvement Levy $1,827,208 <br /> Lease Revenue Bonds $ 361,207 <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority Levy $ 157,800 <br /> Tax Abatement Levy $ 244,877 <br /> Building Improvement Levy $ 73,000 <br /> $6,450,785 <br /> <br />2) The proposed 2017 General Operating Budget totals $7,106,990 <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of September, 2016. <br /> <br /> _________________________________ <br /> Jerome O.
