<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Date: September 27, 2016 <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution-Authorizing the Hennepin County Road Maintenance Agreement <br /> <br /> <br />Overview: <br /> <br />In front of you this evening is the five year renewal of the Hennepin County Road Maintenance <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />The current agreement expires on 12/31/2016. The agreement relates to payment for road maintenance <br />the city preforms for the County State Aid Highways within the city limits. These maintenance <br />services include: <br />• Snow removal <br />• Street sweeping <br />• Mowing <br />• Disposal of debris <br /> <br />The Hennepin County contracted payment is based on the County’s internal cost to perform such <br />services. The internal costs are updated annually. The 2017 payment for services is scheduled at <br />$31,459 compared to the payment for 2016 of $28,483. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Council approves the Hennepin County Road Maintenance Agreement for the term of five years- <br />1/1/2017-12/31/2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />21
