2007 Investigation Review <br />Prepared by Captain Cotroneo <br />The Patrol Unit is the largest unit in the department. The officers often bring <br />to conclusion cases which are reported to them, eliminating the need to refer <br />them to investigations. The unit also has available the expertise of Officer <br />Mark Mosby for any case which may deal with computer forensics <br />issues. The unit also follows up on information received from the <br />community, either directly or via the line officers. <br />The 2007 statistics for the St. Anthony Criminal Investigation Unit are as <br />follows: <br />• Total Criminal Cases 703 <br />• Total Cases Cleared 392 <br />• Total Cases Cleared by Arrest 332 <br />• Total Cases Cleared by Other 60 <br />CLEARANCE RATE 55% <br />Captain Cotroneo 1991 <br />*These statistics do not include traffic <br />arrests, warrant arrests, ICR only <br />offenses and mysterious <br />disappearances. <br />11 <br />
