ANTHONY VILLAGE CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC. <br />SUBJECT: FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT OPTIONS <br />DATE: FOR MARCH 18TH WORKSESSION <br />CC: MICHAEL MORNSON, JAY HARTMAN, ROGER LARSON <br />After our initial work session on 1/29/08, the Council requested staff meet with Johnson Controls to <br />identify options for a Facility Improvement Project. Per our discussions, we have developed three options <br />for the Council to consider. However, the improvement measures to be included in the final project can be <br />different than the options listed below as requested by the City Council. <br />The project options are summarized as follows: <br />Option A: Presented at Work Session <br />Project Cost $2,598,794 <br />Savings (average over 15 yrs.): <br />Utility $74,161 /yr. <br />Operational $42, 178/yr. <br />Long Term Operating Capital $118,449/yr. <br />Option B: Option A without Facility Performance Indexing (City Hall) and Fire Security (All Buildings): <br />FPI: Cost = $5,414 plus $4,868/yr for 5 yrs. <br />Fire and Security: Cost = $204,248 <br />Project Cost $2,389,132 <br />Savings (average over 15 yrs.): <br />Utility $72,992/yr. <br />Operational $40, 076 /yr. <br />Long Term Operating Capital $100,869 /yr. <br />Option C: Option A without Facility Performance Indexing and Roof (City Hall): <br />FPI: Cost = $5,414 plus $4,868 /yr for 5 yrs. <br />Roof: Cost = $594,298 <br />Project Cost <br />$1,999,082 <br />Savings (average over 15 yrs.): <br />Utility <br />$72,992/yr. <br />Operational <br />$36,393/yr. <br />Long Term Operating Capital <br />$69,553/yr. <br />Project Summaries and cash flows are included with the Memorandum.
